$0.00
- THIS IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR A PROPER METAL TOOL
- This part is designed for the person that needs open one pair of forks and can’t acquire a proper tool. It does work but be gentle and expect that it can fail at any time.
- FREE STL file for you to print on a 3D printer.
- Included is an STL and STEP file of our 3D printed tool used for removing the fork cap on KTM (WP) forks. It was tested on a 2016 KTM 500EXC.
- 3D printed with ABS material at 50% infill.
- The pins are 1/8″ slotted roll pins we had in stock. You may use other sizes but check your fork cap for fitment first.
- Use with 22mm socket or pipe wrench if cap is on too tightly

Based on my experience with removing these parts, including heating with torch, this plastic piece will probably fail on its’ first use…before the part is even removed. Thankfully it’s free. I guess if you have time to waste and a 3-D printer, it could be a fun project. I use a steel pin spanner…and it is pushed hard.

This in no way intended to replace a 4-pin metal tool. It’s a one-time use tool to get you out a of jam if you don’t have the right tool but happen to have a 3d printer. Still, the one we used printed with ABS has disassembled and assembled two separate bikes without issue. Figured we’d give it out for free since it was already designed.
