Description
I’m taking $100 deposits and will fabricate the first build based on those orders. The introductory price is $399. This is very dedicated and optimized train controller. For demonstrations in Los Angeles, please email me.
I’ve been a professional new product engineer for 30 years and have a degree in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in electro-mechanical design. I’ve designed for military, entertainment, commercial, and industrial applications. Most products required an excess of 10 year life spans. Robustness is built into every aspect of the product while maintaining an affordable price. Yes, it could be cheaper just as well as it could cost more than double.
Delivery Timeline
The Railwave receiver design has been sent to printed circuit board assembler (10-2-26). The transmitter won’t be sent to the printed circuit board assembler for another 1-2 weeks. I will hand build transmitters for whoever wants one in October. Please email me.
Enclosures
All enclosures are 3D printed. Color will likely be some gray/charcoal/silver color with contrasting letters. I will be refining the printing process later on to improve surface finish. Current builds are ABS material that are rugged and heat resistant. ASA is another option is that is a improvement to ABS in regards to UV and chemical resistance.
Custom color options may be available if you email me.

Motor Driver (not sold by us)
I don’t have any affiliation with these manufacturers or resellers. This is just my opinion on what worked for our locomotives.
You need a motor driver to drive the motors forward, reverse and control speed. The Railwave receiver tells the motor driver what to do as well as control the accessories (lights, horn, bell, etc)
I prefer the Sabertooth 2×32 ($125) from Dimension Engineering but I’ve had no issues with the Cytron 30 ($39) for lower power locomotives and they are much cheaper. I don’t recommend the Syren 50 due to it’s lack of loss-of-data safety shut-off but this wireless controller does support it.

12 volt accessories from your 24 volt battery bank
Folks sometimes use one battery to power their 12 volt accessories and 24 volts to their motor driver but the better way is to run a DC-DC converter so the batteries are discharged evenly. A 240W (20 amp) converter is under $17.
